Cork to Host Europe’s Top Wheelchair Basketball Clubs

Rebel Wheelers Multi-Sports Club is proud to announce that Cork has been chosen as the host city for the IWBF EuroCup Group 4 Qualifiers, running from April 23–26, 2026. The event will feature five elite European wheelchair basketball clubs competing for advancement in one of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments.

This milestone highlights both the growth of wheelchair basketball in Ireland and Rebel Wheelers’ long-standing commitment to empowering athletes with physical disabilities.

Tournament Location

Matches will be played at: Upper Glanmire Community Sports Hall, Cork. The official team hotel is the Cork International Airport Hotel, located near Cork Airport.

Rebel Wheelers is a volunteer-run organisation, with all funds going directly toward programmes, coaching, equipment, and accessibility support.
